From inspiration, to choosing of marble, to artistic completion, the process is an organic one, different each and every time.
Inspiration & Process
Sculpture is a non-verbal language. It speaks directly to the hand and eye. Words come later.
The creative process begins the moment inspiration strikes—often as a rough sketch captured on a napkin. These initial ideas are then translated into small-scale wax or clay models, where the form is refined before the final execution in stone. Using a traditional hammer and chisel, Sean carves the rough block, meticulously shaping and texturing the marble until it matches his vision.
His abstract work is deeply rooted in the organic forms and concepts found in nature. By prioritizing fluid lines over literal representation, Sean invites viewers to bring their own interpretations to the finished piece.
